Targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA Conformance

Lead Cactus LLC is committed to ensuring that QuoteHomePros.com is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. The following features of the Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) 1.2 specification are used to improve accessibility: role="listbox" and aria-autocomplete on the service search field, aria-expanded on accordion buttons, and aria-live="polite" on error messages.

Link Purpose Links are descriptive and distinguishable from surrounding text. Navigation landmarks use semantic HTML elements.

4 Known Limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, the following known limitations exist as of the date of this statement. We are actively working to address them:

Hero background images: The full-screen hero slider images are decorative and do not convey information essential to using the service. However, we plan to add explicit alt descriptions for context in a future update.
Thumbtack iframe embeds: When a service professional's booking flow is displayed in a modal iframe, the accessibility of that embedded content is subject to Thumbtack's own accessibility standards. We do not control that iframe content.
Third-party chat or pop-up tools: If third-party tools are added to the site in the future, we will evaluate their accessibility before deployment.
